There is nothingto join.
Haven has no accounts, so it has no sign-up. Authorisation is a balance: hold what a community gates on and the key derives for you; stop holding it and the next derivation fails. There is nothing to apply for and nobody to approve you.
What that means in practice depends entirely on why you are here — so the next thing this page does is ask.
Choose your pathWhich of these is you?
Pick the one that describes what you actually want. Each path only shows what its own reader needs — no step you will never take, and no jargon left unexplained.
- AThe reader
I want to watch
A community you follow has an archive, and you want in. You will need whatever that community gates on — usually one NFT, sometimes a balance of its token — and a reader app. Nothing else: browsing the index is free, and signing costs no gas.
What it takesMinutes- An asset from the community
- A wallet you control
- A reader app
- BThe publisher
I want to publish
You have media to put into a community’s archive — masters, stems, cuts, records. You encrypt locally, pay Filecoin to store it and keep proving it, and pay the index to record that it exists.
What it takesAn afternoon- FIL and USDFC for Filecoin
- GLM for index gas
- The command-line publisher
- CThe founder
I want to start one
You want your own locked archive. You do not have to invent a token to do it: any NFT or token your community already holds can be the key. If there is none yet, you can make one.
What it takesA day, once- An asset to require
- A number: how much to require
- The publisher’s three balances
Unsure? Start with the reader. It is the shortest path, it costs the least, and it is the only one that shows you what an archive actually feels like before you commit to building one.
What you are never asked for.
- An email address
- A password
- A username
- A subscription
- Custody of your asset
- A spending approval
- Permission from Haven
None of these exist because none of them have anywhere to live. There is no Haven server holding your account, because there is no Haven account and no Haven server — the shared state is public blockchains, and nothing else. 16 communities are already measurable on that basis in the index.
